George H. Jansing immigrated to Louisville, KY (map) probably during the late 1840's. In 1850 he is enumerated with Clement Badmaken along with Clement's wife and 3 children and 3 other young males of various surnames. George is listed as a Teamster in the census. In 1852 he marries Christina Bernadina Richter who was born in Germany. George and Christina have 5 children while living in Louisville and southwestern Jefferson County, KY. My roadblock on the Jansing family is that I do not know even what part of Germany George emigrated from and I do not have any information on his parents or siblings. I have so little information that it will be difficult to recognize his records when they are located.
I am specifically looking for the following information:
- Parents and siblings for George H. Jansing. He emigrated with John Henry Jansing, however no relationship was given.
- Birthplace for George H. Jansing.
- Information on marriage(s) and death of Maria Anna Jansing, daughter of George H. Jansing and Christina Bernedina Richter born 26 Apr 1866 in KY who died after 1 Jun 1880.
- Since I do not publish information on living people, I had to remove a lot of records on this family line. If you know that someone has died, please send me their death info so that I can include them when the report is revised.
